HOW CAN I GET UPDATES ON MY BEYOU CHAIR?

Because all the important information about your BeYou pre-order is shared via email, we highly recommend that you add our official email contact@beyoufurniture.com to your contact list and drag the email to the primary inbox. This ensures you won't miss out on important info about your BeYou.

WHAT ARE THE PRE-ORDER TERMS OF SERVICE?

Pre-order is defined as the collecting of resources (funds, money, tangible goods, time) from the population at large through an internet platform.

In return for their contributions, the crowd can receive a number of tangibles or intangibles, which depend on the type of pre-order.

Pre-order involves three participants:

- the crowd (contributors / pre-order customers);

- a hosting platform (our website); and

- the crowdfunding campaign creator 

Beyoufurniture.com can operate, from time to time at its own discretion, as a pre-order website.

When getting any BeYou items as part of our crowdfunding / pre-order campaigns, you are supporting an entrepreneurial endeavour and getting a reward, you are not buying a product in a regular online store.

When you support our pre-order campaigns, you are helping to create something new, not purchasing something that already exists.

The products are given to you as a token of our appreciation for you and the support you have given us. At times, the product you are pre-ordering could go through an iterative process, resulting in changes to its design and/or functionality. This is only done with your best interest in mind as we always try to provide you with a reward you will enjoy for many years to come.

Your card will be charged at the time you place your pre-order. The pre-order charge may or may not include the shipping charge for your product - this information will be clearly provided on the campaign page itself. If shipping is charged later than the pre-order charge, you will receive an email notification when it’s time to return to our store to settle the shipping charge for your pre-order.

This business model has allowed our company to exist and we could not be more grateful to the entire pre-order community. We appreciate your understanding of our policy and your continued support.

Pre-order items do not include a warranty, unless explicitly specified in the campaign.

The benefits of supporting a pre-order campaign include but are not limited to:

- exclusive perks and discounts of up to 50% from retail price

- active involvement in the development process - which means you often get a say in what the product will look like

- priority delivery - you are among the first people in the world to receive the items before we make it available to the greater public

- helping to protect the planet - we optimise stock management, reducing overstock and our carbon footprint

Your support of a pre-order campaign does not always guarantee that you will receive a product.

If you experience a manufacturing defect while being covered under a pre-order campaign’s warranty period, please contact us. We reserve the right to repair at a reasonable cost, send you replacement parts or simply provide you with a resolution.

Please be aware that certain delays may occur with the manufacturing and the shipment of your replacement parts. Considering the naturally occurring variations in wood grains, identifying the perfect wood finish in some cases may not be possible.

Beyoufurniture.com meticulously ensures that each product is in strict keeping with its quality criteria and that it passes all of our checks, both technical and esthetic.

The product is considered to be defective if a manufacturing fault is reported in accordance with and within the warranty period of the product in question.

Items damaged through normal wear and tear will not be considered to be defective.

Any warranty, or implied warranty, is only valid for the period of time the BeYou product is owned by the original purchaser of the product. The original purchaser, for the purposes of this warranty, will be the individual whose details are associated with the pre-order. Please retain a copy of the receipt which was sent to the email address on record.

In order to identify and assess the warranty issue, photos of the defective product and/or parts, the order number and original proof of purchase will have to accompany any warranty request.

What is not included in a crowdfunding / pre-order campaign warranty:

- Normal wear and tear or aging of your BeYou products, including but not limited to the normal distressing of the color/finish of your products, as a result of long-term use and/or direct exposure to sunlight.

- Damage due to non-compliant assembly.

- Damage resulting from maintenance, repairs or disassembly not performed by an after-sales service center approved by BeYou.

- Any chair with signs of impact or shock on the body of the product.

- Pre-orders for which proof of purchase is missing.

- Any stains, burns, heat marks, scratches, cuts, or liquid/moisture damage resulting from use by customers or their environment.

- Damages or warping issues due to a living environment of drastic temperature changes. Products should not be placed in temperatures below 10 degrees C or outdoors.

- Any BeYou product that is sold by an unauthorized retailer and/or sold as “used” or using any other verbiage indicating that the product is not “new”.

- Any damages incurred during transportation and delivery.

Upon analyzing the information in the request for the return of a defective product, we reserve the option to not follow up on your request for legitimate reasons (warranty period expired, defect not covered by the warranty, inappropriate use of the product, etc.).

You may request a full refund within 30 days from the time you placed your pre-order on our website.

After the 30 days have passed, your funds may have already been used towards the production of your items and a refund will not be possible.

Beyoufurniture.com does not provide receipts or invoices beyond the pre-order confirmation email that you should have received after your transaction.

We owe our crowdfunding / pre-order customers a high standard of effort, honest communication, and a dedication to bringing the campaign to life.

At the same time, the crowdfunding / pre-order customers understand that when working to deliver a crowdfunding / pre-order campaign, the campaign creator (Beyoufurniture.com) may run into repeated challenges or delays, and there’s a chance something could happen that prevents beyoufurniture.com from being able to complete the campaign as promised.

In the unlikely situations where extreme challenges come up and we are unable to deliver on a crowdfunding / pre-order campaign, we will openly communicate with all the campaign's crowdfunding / pre-order customers extensive details about the challenges we've encountered, how these challenges have affected our funds and our ability to deliver on our campaign and how we plan to move forward with that campaign.

For some or all crowdfunding / pre-order campaigns, we may decide to charge the shipping and handling fees for each pre-order separate from the value of the order itself. This is done with fairness and our crowdfunding / pre-order customers' best interest in mind - shipping and handling charges may fluctuate from one month to another and our aim is to charge realistic, up to date shipping fees.

Our commitment to all crowdfunding / pre-order customers is to:

- extend every effort to deliver the campaign according to the estimated timeline shared with all crowdfunding / pre-order customers

- maintain open, transparent communication with regards to the progress we are making once the production has started for the crowdfunding / pre-order customers

- share regular updates in which we detail the steps we take and what challenges we encounter along the way

The estimated delivery provided on the campaign page is just an estimate - this is not a guarantee that we will deliver your product by that time because the schedule may change as we work through potential challenges that might come along during the project.

Beyoufurniture.com will make every effort to include all key information relevant to crowdfunding / pre-order campaigns as often as possible in all communication with our crowdfunding / pre-order customers. When participating in our crowdfunding / pre-order campaigns, crowdfunding / pre-order customers understand and agree with all Terms of Service published and updated on this page and/or on the crowdfunding website.

WHEN AND HOW CAN I PAY FOR SHIPPING MY BEYOU?

As specified in the checkout process you went through when pre-ordering your BeYou, shipping and handling fees are to be collected right before the fulfillment process begins.

You will be able to finalize your pre-order in the order link/survey you will be receiving via email.

We will announce the entire community before sending it out. And we will allow ample time for everyone to pay for their shipping.

You'll be able to see the shipping charges, depending on the country, in your order link/survey.

All the details about how to access and fill in the survey will be shared in the same email the link/survey will be sent.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO PAY FOR SHIPPING?

DO I NEED TO PAY VAT AND DUTY TAXES?

In short, yes. In a normal situation we would have been able to cover the VAT and duty taxes.

Unfortunately, the malicious actions taken on purpose by a few members of our community have sabotaged our collaboration with our payment processor Stripe.

This led to an unforeseen and complicated situation, which has forced us to accept certain terms and conditions for securing new payment processors.

That has culminated in not being able to cover the VAT and duty taxes, despite the initial statement we made in the beginning of this project.

Once again, we truly understand your disappointment and we share it ourselves, fully. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience this has caused for many members of our community.

In the order link/survey that you will receive via email, you will see the total shipping and handling amount, including VAT and duty taxes.

IF I CAN’T PAY THE SHIPPING FEE, WILL I STILL RECEIVE MY CHAIR?

In short, no. As you may have seen by now, the cost of making this product is huge and compounded by inflation. We made sure to absorb as much as we could, in order to show gratitude and appreciation towards our community.

Therefore, even with the higher shipping prices that we are currently looking at, it is worth mentioning that all our supporters are getting a phenomenal deal on the BeYou Chair (a discount between 37%-54% based on RRP)!

That being said, we are well aware this does not ease the pain of higher shipping rates and since we feel and understand you, we want to help wherever possible!

We are extremely grateful for all the support we received from both our crowdfunding and our pre-order communities. You helped bring this project to life.

Which is why, if you are not ready to receive your chair now, we have your back!

We will FOREVER honor the price you have paid for your BeYou Chair, regardless of any future product price changes. With that in mind, we can put a hold on your pre-order until you will be ready to pay for shipping and receive it.

CAN I GET A REFUND AT THIS POINT?

No. We're at an extremely advanced stage in the production , so we're unable to offer refunds at this time.

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY BEYOU CHAIR?

The delivery order will be made depending on how soon you settle the shipping and handling cost to complete your order, from the moment we send out the individual order links to everyone.

WHAT COUNTRIES DO YOU SHIP TO?

We ship to 35 countries around the world: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Israel, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Norway and the European Union (with the exception of Republic of Cyprus and Malta). 

Please note that due to the size of the product, we are required to use specific couriers that do not deliver to APO/FPO/DPO addresses or PO Boxes. 

If you live outside of our current shipping areas, please fill in this form and we’ll let you know once we start delivering to your country.

CAN I CHANGE MY DELIVERY ADDRESS AFTER I PLACE MY PRE-ORDER?

Absolutely! You will be able to edit your shipping details up until we are ready to start delivery. We’ll make sure to give all our pre-order customers ample time to review and update delivery details before we start shipping out your pre-orders. All you need to remember is that your new address needs to be located in the same country or in one of the 35 countries we deliver to.

DO YOU OFFER A WARRANTY?

The BeYou chair comes with a 1 year limited warranty on manufacturing defects.

DOES BEYOU COME FULLY ASSEMBLED?

The chair comes partly assembled. And we reduced the total time it takes to put it together.

WHAT’S THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF THE BEYOU CHAIR?

The BeYou chair holds up to 400 lbs or 181 kg on the main seat. The backrest (when used as a seat) was tested to hold up to 275 lbs or 125 kg. As we go through the pre-production optimisation, these limits may vary slightly. Please keep an eye on our regular updates because we'll share all our exciting progress with the entire BeYou community.

WHAT COLORS DOES THE BEYOU COME IN?

For the time being, while the standard fabric color for the cushions fabric is black, our pre-order community can choose between these 2 color options for the wooden parts: Natural or Black.

As some of our community members expressed their enthusiasm in having more colors for the chair, our team will compile all the feedback received and see what options we can consider for the future development of the BeYou project.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF GETTING THIS CHAIR ON A PRE-ORDER CAMPAIGN?
You become part of the movement revolution - we like to call ourselves “the trendsitters”. You get the best possible price - our pre-order customers enjoy discounts of up to 42% to 50% off compared to retail pricing. You get to vote for new designs - we ask you to choose your favorite colors, patterns and more from time to time. The biggest favorites will be available for pre-order! You get a chair made with love and care - we place big bulk orders with our factories, so they invest more time and attention into our limited production runs. You are helping to preserve the planet - we will plant 1 tree for every chair ordered.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We offer a 1 year limited warranty on manufacturing defects. If you experience any issues with your product, please email us at contact@beyoufurniture.com and we'll be very happy to help. 

Items that are bought as part of a crowdfunding / pre-order campaign and/or as part of a clearance sale,  cannot be refunded or returned (unless received damaged and an email informing us about the damage, along with photographs showing the damage, is sent through to us no later than 24 hours from the time of pre-order receipt) - their order is final.

16.1. Non-returnable

Any item not in its original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Any item that is returned more than 15 days after delivery.

The above does not apply if you pre-ordered items on our website during any of our pre-order campaigns. In these cases, many of our usual policies may be different or inapplicable.

16.2 Exchanges

You must contact us as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours from the time you received your order to inform us if you received a damaged/incomplete/defective product. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at contact@beyoufurniture.com and we'll provide you with all details necessary for the return.

The above does not apply if you pre-ordered items during any of our pre-order campaigns.

If you received an incorrect, incomplete or damaged product, please contact our customer care immediately and no later than 24 hours from order receipt, so we can resolve the issue.
